The Story of The French Circus School — From France to Melbourne, Sharing Circus, Movement & French Culture
Founded in 2020 by Anthony, a circus and sports teacher from the north of France, The French Circus School brings together two things at the heart of the program: French language and circus.
Today, we deliver French incursions for primary and secondary schools across Victoria, combining French with circus activities to create a fun, active and memorable experience for students. Through activities such as juggling, spinning plates, flower sticks, scarves and games, students hear and use French while moving, participating and trying something new.
Our programs are designed for students from Prep to Year 12 and can be adapted to different ages and levels of French. Since 2020, The French Circus School has worked with schools across Victoria, bringing a completely different way to experience French beyond the classroom.
We also deliver interactive circus experiences for festivals, councils and large community events, with a focus on participation rather than simply watching a performance.
Founded in Melbourne and proudly connected to its French roots, The French Circus School brings energy, movement and a little bit of France wherever we go.

The French Circus School was founded to bring structured movement, creativity and joy to children across Victoria. What began as one educator’s passion has grown into a trusted provider of premium circus experiences for schools, festivals and organisations.

Our Founder, Anthony Panel
Anthony Panel is the Founder and Creative Director of The French Circus School.
Originally from Normandy in northern France, Anthony is a qualified sports educator with a background in French literature and more than 18 years of experience working with children through circus, movement and performance.
Anthony founded The French Circus School with a simple idea: to combine French and circus in a way that gets students moving, participating and experiencing the language beyond the classroom.
As Creative Director, he designs the programs and activities behind our school incursions and event experiences, drawing on his background in education, circus and performance. His approach is energetic, practical and highly interactive, with students actively involved throughout each session.
Anthony also leads and trains The French Circus School team, ensuring every program is structured, engaging and delivered with the energy and character that have become central to The French Circus School experience.
Our Educators
The French Circus School brings together a team of experienced French and Australian facilitators with backgrounds in circus, movement, performance and education.
Our facilitators are selected for their ability to work confidently with children and young people and to create sessions that are energetic, structured and highly interactive.
Working within programs designed by our Creative Director, the team brings French to life through circus activities, movement and play. Students are encouraged to get involved, try something new and experience French in a completely different way.
