What types of workshops do you offer?
Our circus workshops are playful, interactive, and accessible for all ages. They include juggling (balls, scarves, spinning plates), balance, balance ball, barrel, and trapeze — all designed to be safe, family-friendly, and great fun.
Does my event need to be French-themed?
Not at all! Our workshops are designed to fit in with any type of event.
Can the workshops take place outdoors or indoors?
Both. Our workshops work beautifully in both settings.
How much space do I need?
A 14m x 14m area is ideal, and if you have more space, even better — we’ll make the most of it. But if your event has less space available, we can run adapted workshops with lighter equipment that fit into smaller areas.
Do I need electricity or a power outlet?
No. Our workshops are fully people-powered — no plugs or outlets required!
Do I need to provide equipment?
No — we bring everything. You just need to provide a suitable space for the children.
How big is the French Circus School team?
All events include a minimum of two team members on site. For larger events, we bring a bigger crew.
Do you run workshops all day or at specific times?
We run on set schedules. Why? Because it keeps everything organised, helps families plan their day, and ensures every child enjoys the full workshop experience. From Sheepvention to cultural festivals, we’ve seen time and again how clear scheduling makes events run seamlessly for organisers and participants alike.
How many workshops do you offer per day?
This depends on your event. Larger events often include five 50-minute sessions per day, aligned with the festival’s opening hours, while smaller events may include as few as two 50-minute sessions per day. A proposed timetable is always provided as part of your quote.
How many children can participate in each individual workshop?
The number of children per experience depends on the size and configuration of the event; for reference, large-scale events such as those at Federation Square have included around 60 children per session.
From what age can children participate?
From 3 years old and up. We tailor each workshop to the age and ability of the kids, so little ones feel safe and included while older kids can explore more challenging skills.
Can parents participate or just watch?
Parents are always welcome to join in — and many do! We love the energy it brings when mums and dads jump in to share the fun with their kids.
Is the French Circus School fully insured?
Yes, we hold Public Liability Insurance with coverage of up to $20 million.
